Default Anybody hear of new high school in Amarillo?

Hear they are building a new high school in Amarillo area, which will feed Bushland kids out of Tascosa and Amarillo High into their own high school.

Right... but the Bushland kids now feed into Tascosa (5A) and Amarillo High (5A) so this should draw from those schools immediately.

I see where you are going VWG. Could result in some drop downs depending on how many kids are drawn away from the Amarillo schools.

Bushland is the school that Coach Flowers left Merkel for. I think they start varsity football in 06, and are expected to compete in 2A.

New homes going up out in the Bushland. Rumor has it that the school will be a "build it and they will come" project. Heard that the school is being built to house a 4A to 5A enrollment.

I was by there in Mid-June, and the first thing going up was the football stadium.

Is Amarillo actually GROWING ? If so, it's the first town I've heard of west of I-35 that actually has a growing population.
