Is this from the AP or Coaches poll, or is it just your opinion?

how can you keep the williams kid from lindale off of first team. he is a legit d1 linebacker, and probably could play receiver for anyone in 3a as well.

I mean no disrespect for your choices, but Biles is nowhere near deserving an all-state selection on anyone's team. He turned down more contact this year than any all-district pick I've ever seen. How'd he make it? Politics and padded stats...just like every other Lorena LB (including last year's defensive player of the year) who's garnered any awards.
There were three or four better LBs in the 17-3A than Biles. Film doesn't lie.

    Question

Why are you leaving out JOSH MELNAR from La Grange.

hard to base an opinion on one game that I've seen him play, but Melnar is one of the hardest hitters I've seen.

Hope Brent Slaughter does get in there, he's very deserving. Great kid who had a great year.

I have seen the kid from Forney play last year and don't remember alot from his play. So I guess what I'm saying is that he didn't stand out. I did get to watch Slaughter play and he is one of the best at the position. I might be a little bias, but I believe the duo of Melnar and Slaughter are the best at that position. Bellville had a couple of good linebackers too. Sorry I can't recall their names.

I know I'm biased but the best LB in AAA isn't even mentioned. Jerry Cleveland, Rice Consolidated, led one of the best D's in Texas this year. He's a great player.

I think that Robert Melich(Bridge City) is one of the best LB's in the State; however he broke his arm- after missing a number of games he came back to play in a cast-and still did a good job. He hurt his other shoulder and only got to play a little against Sinton. Next year as a Senior, he will really jar people from the ball-he's is D1 already.

I agree that one of Bellville's linebacker should be one of the top linebackers in the state. Don't remember his # but he was dominating the blockers and getting to the ball quick.I would rank him ahead of sinton's LB and evermans. The best that I saw this past season.
