Default Is Baseball still america's pasttime???

Baseball is the best game invented by man..
But it is becoming harder every year to keep little league & younger players to keep the game on their summertime list of things to do...
The numbers in little league in recent years have dropped and alot of them that are playing just don't seem to take it for what it is (fun)... there are too many other things goin on during the season, and kids.... I think are having to choose basketball, football or some other camp for sports that are not in seaon yet... if it keeps going like it is youth baseball will be gone and when the young kids quit playing its only a matter of time before baseball can only be learned about in history books !!!!

No other sport could or would ever take the name as "America's Past Time".....Baseball will always be there in any true Americans mind

profootball seems to be watched more now but its because mlb managment sucks...i mean come on see how many first round playoffs games r played in the middle of the week in the middle of the day....baseball is however making a comeback now due to more excitement in the game, they had it really bad after the strike....it was almost like they couldnt give tickets away....now it seems that the game is getting more popular and will prolly stay america's pastime...but for a while i worried that is was gona be passed by football...

I believe baseball still is, and will be for some time...

Football was always my favorite sport to watch etc... and will always be, but as for playing, baseball was the funnest to play...

    It's the best!

    NO

and Yes - it's WAYYYYYY past it's time.

The only good thing about baseball is the playoffs. The regular season is the worst. Puts me to sleep every time. Good to know it's good for something!

The Ins and Outs of Baseball
    By George Carlin

You have two sides, one out in the field, one in.

Each man that's on the side that's in goes out and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out.

Sometimes you get men still in and not out. If they score, they come in.

When three men are out, those that are in and still out are left out and don't score. Then the side that's been out comes in and the side that's been in goes out and tries to get the side coming in out.

When both sides have been in and out nine times, that is the end of the game. Unless, of course, both sides have the same number of not outs, not counting left outs. In that case, they continue to go in and out until after an equal number of ins and outs one side has more.

Baseball may be America's favorite pasttime, but FOOTBALL is America's passion!

I heard Carlin's comparison between football and baseball the other night...freakin' hillarious, and very true! Somebody needs to find it and post it (pphs).
