He ran for over 2,400 yards and scored 19 touchdowns last season at Vernon. This year Bernard Scott will not land in the endzone for the Wichita Falls High School Coyotes. Scott's transfer was voted down by the District 5-4A executive committe last week and on Wednesday morning the University Interscholastic League denied his appeal. The 5-4A committe ruled that Scott transfered for "athletic puropses only" and must sit out of athletics for one school year. Scott is a senior and will graduate this spring. It appears his high school playing days are over.
