That would be just total guesswork since the teams across the giant state of Texas in most all cases have no common opponents.

District 3-3A has to be one of the new toughest districts. Snyder, Sweetwater, Lamesa, Seminole, Denver City, and Merkel.
They are all playing very tough pre-season schedules because they know how tough the district is.

Lots to choose from but I'd have to pick either:

    Atlanta
    Daingerfield
    Liberty-Eylau
    Pleasant Grove
    Queen City
    New Boston

    or

    Forney
    Wilmer-Hutchings
    Crandall
    Ferris
    Kaufman
    Dallas Madison
    Dallas Pinkston

The district with Gonzales, Cuero, Yoakum, Luling, Halletsville, and Goliad. Always a tough district. Of the first four teams listed one good team will not make the playoffs.

I would have to agree with you. I can not wait for the district competition to begin. Looks like we are all evenly matched this year with a few exceptions. Those to remain nameless.

Go Big RED!!!!!!!!!!! WE ARE PUTTING ON THE WAR PAINT!!!!!!!!!

Don't forget Mexia, Groesbeck, Crockett, Fairfield and Madisonville when they are in the same league.

Oh yes, as a former Bay City sportswriter, Palacios is real perennial power! Ooookay. Needville has gone down and Sweeny is nothing this year. Wharton is overrated. Rice is good, yes, and Edna is showing promise. The toughest district in the late 80's was Cameron, Navasota, Caldwell, Madisonville, Hearne and Rockdale.

    Gotta go with dist 12:
    Atlanta
    Daingerfield
    Tex.Ark. LE
    Tex. Ark. PE
    Queen City
    New Boston.
Over the past 4 seasons, there have been 4 quarterfinalists(DF,Atl,LE,PE), 1 state champion(LE), one state finalist(DF), and an area finalist(QC) outta this district.

District 9 has Celina, Gainsville and Pilot Point, including Pottsboro, Van Alstyne and Whitesboro. It may not be the toughest district but the battle for the number one spot could get bloody.
