Question for Spaniard

Did you go to Area Band competition? If so I heard Burnet placed third and is going on to State. Do you know when and where?

I am not Spaniard but I do know Burnet is advancing to the state marching competition. It will be held Monday November 4 at Waco ISD. You can watch the U.I.L. , music website for information on marching times, competition, ticket prices etc. My question is to the administration....Will there be school on that Monday or can Burnet possibly use a weather day or something so the entire school district can get out and support our awesome band? Just a question. Would be nice!

yeah, i was there, and the band did great, still a few minor mistakes that can and will be fixed and they will hopefully do better than when i was there and get higher than 9th or 12th. great job today esprit de corps, good luck next monday, hopefully a whole lot of people will be there.

I thought we did really well also I admit I was one of the tuba's who screwed up in the march. But made up for it. And I know our show is even good enough to mabye even make in the top 5 at state. You know we do pretty good considering with we 4 varsity football players, 3 jv, and a couple of freshmen not to mention we exselling in other sports also. Not bad for a 8-0 football team huh!!!

they will be performing sometime around 10-10:30 that morning. the competition starts at 9 or 9:30. ive heard from the directors wife that they play 3rd, and ive heard from the director that they play 4th. so just be there for the start is my advice. i know i will be. attawaytogo esprit de corps!!
