Sinton O played well. Impressed La Vernia scored 42 without starting QB, but La Vernia D?, well….credit to Sinton.

It was 33-14 with 3:41 when LV scored on a hail mary on 4th down where Sinton defenders batted the ball down in endzone and LV receiver caught it just before heading the ground. I have that play on video, great play qb pick up ball that was hike terrible and just chunked it as defenders were bringing him down.

After that play fireworks by both sides in 3:41 of game play

Looking at the video of that play it looked more like no.5 for Sinton was going for the interception and no. 10 for Sinton ran into him and the ball got deflected and a LV receiver was there to make the catch.

Crazy play. Yep, we were pretty lucky to score 42. One more recovered onside kick, and we had a chance to win a game we had no business winning. Crazy how the ball bounced at the end of that game. Sinton would score, and I’d think, well at least they scored quickly. Then, boom, LV would score too. Sinton fielded three onside kicks in a row. That was huge and what ultimately won the game. I’m not sure LV had failed to recover an onside kick all season until those three. We get a bunch of them.
