Upset of the week

Not as much an upset imo. The Mustangs are a really good team with a very stout defense and efficient balanced offense and big physical O-line. They played in a 5 team district that was very strong with Waco Connaly. Gatesville and Salado. Robinson was the weak team, and they were not that bad. Salado took Cuero to OT losing 13 to 3! They were 4th in that district and Madisonville beat them as did Waco Connaly. LG played both teams in this match losing 24-14 to Bellville in game 1 of the regular season and 41-21 to Madisonville in game 1 of the playoffs. I think the Brahmas might have underestimated the Mustangs and went in a little flat and found themselves on their back foot from the start. It was amazing to see a 0-0 halftime score for these two offenses, a real tribute to the defenses of both teams. Good luck to Madisonville next week and hats off to an outstanding Bellville team and season @ 11-1!

I listened to the audio broadcast on Bellville Sports and they were fair to both teams. Bellville relied on their running game and didn't pass much. True=Bellvillle came in a little bit over confident. Great defensive battle-Bet It's been a long time since there was not a TD scored in a Area Round playoff game in any classification.
