Cuero - Sinton Scrimmage Cancelled Due To Lightning

Probably not the type of scrimmage Sinton coaches wanted to see, but Cuero pretty much dominated it. Pirates did get 2 scores from the 2nd team offense. first one was a long td run and the 2nd a nice pass from Trysten Handson to Jonah James. Cuero has really good team and Sinton just ain't at that level right now. It's gonna take a few games for this team get everybody in the right places and start winning in my opinion.

yea Braeden Brown going down early after 2nd possession and Triston Handson going down after a big run to inside the 10 yd line in live action in 2nd qtr as he came out after that run was one of the things coaches fear the most is seeing qb going down just before the season. Hopefully Braeden is ok not sure on type of injury, if it was just a precaution to keep him out or more serious same with Triston.

Offense had 2 scores with Triston Handson going against the Cuero 2's other than some qb keepers by Brown and Handson the Sinton young offensive line with 4 sophomores and a Jr had a difficult time against Cuero D running and pass protection and Cuero secondary clamp down on the receivers pretty tight. Good for offense to see this type of D as that'll be one of the best they'll see.

Sinton D did pretty good with some good run defense for majority of the scrimmage, had a pick to start the scrimmage and held their own with couple of breakdown in coverage but the secondary will keep improving as the season goes along, they also had couple of breakdown in coverage in 1st scrimmage but Kingsville just didn't connect. Sinton 1 and 2's it seem in live qtr were mixed in there as for Cuero also as they both got their teams prepare and one final look at the kids.

Good luck to both teams in 2022, Cuero in region 3 and a strong contender to battle for region 3 title. Sinton defense will carry them early as the offense finds it grove and I look forward to them rebounding in week 1 vs Beeville D.
