Putting Alice in D16 is actually pretty smart. Their proximity to 281 enables them to head south almost right away, and 281 does end up very close to Hidalgo which is a little further south, and they'd simply make a left on 83 once in the RGV to get to La Feria

Completely agree with this. I, personally, hate seeing 4-team districts. And Matt Stepp's current 4A D1 mock has D16 as a 4-team district, so sending Alice to D16 makes the most sense.
