Reminds me of 2010 Brownwood, greatest team ever unjustly upset...

The way Lampasas got stuffed on that 4th and 1 reminded me a lot of what happened to Sharyland Pioneer last season.

4th and 1 and they line up in the Shotgun.....you give up 4-5 yard right away just snapping the ball to the QB. Are spread QBs incapable of taking snaps from under center or something?

Honestly, with that Lampasas OL, they could have easily run a QB sneak from under center and got that 1st down. Instead, the shotgun cost them the season.

If you dont do it at all, its hard to ask them to do it on the biggest play of the season....Southlake Carroll lost their long winning streak when the QB was under center and fumbled on a sneak vs Abilene High...even yesterday Midland Greenwood while taking a knee fumbled and they get under center...I'm not a fan of being eclusively under center or being exclusive in spread...but in the end dance with what brought ya

Great point...Jerome has been a good back for them and they just never went to him that last drive....just dont like QB power there...some sort of RPO with Ace or zone read..something....

Not sure they were even calling plays at that point. Looked like Whitehead just tried to go full Brock Fitzhenry.
