    Default La Grange (4-4,1-2) @ Giddings (6-2,3-0)

This is one of the longest rivalries in Texas and always is a very hard fought game. The Leps will be in better shape for this one with athlete Mathew Jonson #10 back from injuries and off a big game last night against Gonzales.
Our backup Qb #12Wolff has now started two games and has shown real poise and leadership filling in for Cooper who is out for the season. He seemed to be in his comfort zone last night connecting on three long td passes.
Our O line is missing one starter still out with injuries but the Soph #75 Splawn is doing a yeoman's job filling in. That Apache defensive front was huge and the Leps still controlled the LOS effectively.
The Leps are playing better and are healthier now just in time for this game. Their backs are up against the wall as they need this win to stay in the running for the playoffs. Well that's my update on the La Grange Leopards. I'm looking for an upset here maybe by a couple of tds.

Going to be a great game. Glad to see the Leopards getting some of their players back.

It seems Lagrange has been getting better as the season progresses.

I look for the Buffs to pound the rock even though the weather is expected to be nice.

In Last week's game against Smithville, the Buffs struggled with the stingy Tiger Defense and the cold 20mph winds...... until the 2nd half. Switching to a run game, I was impressed by the O-line hitting their assigned blocks, and the running backs getting into the secondary.

That being said, it will be a close game.

Buffs have players out due to injury too.

Is 1 seed lock in already or could there be a shake up with a La Grange win?

Giddings should have a lock even if they lose the next two games(LG and Navasota). LG must win out to lock a spot. If they win one (Giddings or Smithville) they might get the 4th depending on how the rest shake out. Now that they have some key players back they should be able to pull it off if they keep up the momentum.

!st seed is very much still up for grabs. Giddings has LG and Navasota then there's Cuero at 2-1 so there could be multiple 3-2 ties or a 4-1 tie depending on how these two weeks go. Could go to points or head to head if no outright winner.

It could go to points. Cuero scored a td on 1st down with :50 left in the game to win by 17 against Navasota. The Gobblers were on the 3 yard line.

Well in turns out our entire backfield starters were out as well as several on D so we were playing with mostly our 2hd string in the skill slots. That being said the kids played with heart and kept it close for the first half before the Buffs ran away with it in the third. This has been a tough season for the Leps with injuries and other issues. Hopefully they will pull it together next week against a really fine Smithville team and get a win to end the regular season and maybe squeak into the playoffs as 4th seed. Congratulations to Giddings on the win.
