Slobberknocker, Calallen”s grind it out offense and La Vega”s speed. Two true heavyweights pounding it out on the gridiron.

Ought to be a very good game. La Vega will have the better athletes and more speed. But Calallen has the coach and plenty of pedigree. Should be a hard-hitting matchup for sure, and could easily be a state championship preview. Don't know who I'd give the edge to at this point, honestly. I'd say perhaps the Pirates are a slight favorite. Only thing that would surprise me is if someone wins in a blowout.

LV QB is out for the next several weeks. Their offense was getting off to a slow start so this may be a big issue for LV.

Yikes. That changes things for sure. I'd take Calallen in this one now.

Calallen defense is pretty good against the run. Good test for both

YT it might be but knowing and watching Calallen for the last 26 yrs never count them out. Aledo did a couple years ago and they almost lost the championship to them. Those kids just never quit fighting.
