The articles make mention of only football. Are these schools doing sport specific activities for basketball, baseball, soccer, and the like?

I highly doubt it, unless things changed.

Schools were able to start sport-specific practice on Monday, the 8th. But it’s possible some schools aren’t doing it, or don’t have the participation numbers to do anything but football, I suppose.

Not sure why small numbers would be a negative. You can work basketball, softball, or baseball skills quite easily with as few as 1 kid, kind of like a lesson.for the most part the answer is that at many schools volleyball and football are important and none of the other sports are. Those that try to make others important are quickly separated from the program.
