Former Boling head football coach Bobby Pyssen passed away on Sunday. He was an assistant coach at Boling under James Stafford when the Bulldogs won the state championship in 1972 or 73.
He also coached at Del Valle and Rockport- Fulton before becoming the head coach at Boling I think in either 1998-99
Worked with him closely when I was the Wharton Journal-Spectator when I was the Sports Editor and interviewed him on a weekly basis during the season.
Ran into him around Wharton area when he got a pedicure at Fancy Nails and we chatted over the past few years.

Bobby was a great guy on and off the field and will be missed by his family and friends and fellow former coaches
