I BELIEVE Port Isabel may be voting in the next day or two to start practicing sooner than the current 9/28 mandate set by the Cameron County judge. Not 100% on that but I've heard some rumors/rumbles that a possible vote for it may be coming up.

New COVID cases in the Port Isabel & South Padre Island area have been at 0 for almost a week. I believe the last new case was last Friday? There have, unfortunately, been some COVID related deaths in the PI/SPI area, some of which were PIISD employees, so I can understand PI's reluctance to start the season sooner rather than waiting for 9/28.

I will say, though, Rio Hondo cancelling their season took me by surprise.
yes saw Raymondville was able to get a non district game, tough opponent right away. Good PI may be ready to let their kids experience some football again. Hopefully cases remain low.
