Wharton's softball team will have a new facility to play in this year thanks to a big bond that passed last year. It's on the Boling Hwy (FM 1301) between a school and the Tiger Field Baseball Park which is being upgraded.
I've driven by the area several times when construction first started last year. It's got covered seating area along with a concession stand and restrooms.

Wharton's baseball park is still undergoing renovation and will not be ready for play until March 17 when the Tigers host Brookshire Royal in the District 25-4A opener.
