WC Junior College vs. Coastal Bend College Baseball at new Corbett Park in Wharton

Went to the grand opening of the new Corbett Park on Wharton County Junior College campus today for dedication and first game against Coastal Bend College. They had a standing room only crowd of about 500 in the stands and back of the first and third base dugout. Nice facility with great field and seats with back rests

Had free hot dogs, nachos, Cracker Jacks and drinks

The Pioneers had five Class 4A players on the team. Zach Lee from El Campo, Quinton Martin and Nathan Nance from Sweeny , Kevin Black from Bellville. And Cole Williams from Rockport

Coastal Bend had Kaiden Beaty from Sweeny and Devin Aguado from Sealy.

Won't play another home game until Feb. 22 against Galveston College

All fans were given WCJC baseball caps, tee-shirts -WCJC banners with sticks and rubber ball and bat for no charge
