Yellowjackets are another really good 4th place team from a strong district that beat a district champion Devine to go to the Area round like Smithville did against Sweeny. I like their chance against Sinton in this matchup.

Team is resembling the years Sinton went back to back to state semi's and fell short of 3 straight as they lost their qb in that year they were unbeaten in area round against Llano on tackle as he went out of bounds as he landed on his shoulder wrong. Went with backup next two rounds losing to Cuero in region final as Gobblers got revenge from an earlier loss to Sinton in district. This team full of sophomore starters and 3 freshman starters mix in with seniors.

i think that district champion has lost every time in first round to a 4th seed for several years straight.

Last 7 games averaging 43 pts per game and giving up 23 pts per game. Sinton lowest total in last 7 games 27 against Rockport-Fulton. Good to see how they fare in this matchup.

    Sinton 36
    Llano 27

I believe this is a which team shows up for Llano. I'll take the Jackets in a close one.

One thing Sinton has going for them is their DBs. 20 ints. and 4 or 5 run back for touchdowns so far. 30 total turnovers created by the defense overall. Not bad for a group still learning a new scheme.

I don't recall Sinton ever being in a 3-4 before til this year.
