Default Week 5: Sinton Pirates (0-3) at Yoakum Bulldogs (1-3)

Last year game: Yoakum 61 Sinton 27

    Last game
Sinton 20 Beeville 34 (Sinton unable to hold on to a 20-7 lead heading to 4th qtr)
Yoakum 12 Needville 49 (Yoakum faced a good Needville team that went toe to toe against Calallen week before)

DCTF line: Yoakum by 25 (largest line for Sinton this year entering a game)

Sinton was without RB Rylan Galvan averaging 128 yds a game and Robert Hughes a 4 year starter due to injuries in Miller game. Not sure if they'll be good to go in this week game.

This has been a back and forth series past several years with some overtimes. Yoakum is young and Sinton rebounding from there down year and looking for thier first win of the season.

I listened to this game and Yoakum played sloppy football. The Bulldogs moved the ball well but when the dogs got in the red zone they fumbled the ball, bad snap moved the ball from the 3 Yd line back to the 23. And when on the 5 TD line threw a interception in end one.
Just sloppy football but Needville is a good football team with a outstanding RB.
This Yoakum team is talented but young and needs to grow up fast.

They are growing up just fine bluecat. No injury's is the key in this brutal ND schedule. They'll be there when it counts, I assure you.

7th grade team is 2-0 with two shut outs. Qb for the 7th grade is Tyler Handson youngest brother, looks just as calm and in control at qb like his brother.

All on varsity. Glade they scored last night. Should be a good one tonight, to finish out this brutal non-district schedule. Key, been pretty healthy against Boerne, Cuero, Gonzales, Needville and hopefully Sinton. All starts for real next week for the youngeons vs. a solid Industrial team, there. Industrial my dark horse team. Could very well win the district.

Sinton has started out pretty good in all their 3 games even having the lead, young offensive line can keep at it for 4 qtrs maybe come out with a win in Bulldog country. They're getting more comfortable out there another good test before the Bruni game.

    Yoakum 13 Sinton 10 Final

Sinton young offensive line struggled against Yoakum D-line. Yoakum O line controlled the game in 2nd half

After Yoakum late fumble in endzone for touchback Sinton had one last chance but stopped at Yoakum 40 on 4th and 2.
    Sinton 0-4
    Yoakum 2-3

Sinton hopefully gets healthy in 2 weeks for district opener against Rockport-Fulton.

Appeared Bo went totally vanilla here from what I seen. Showed nothing, basic plays and played them all. Typical Bo in non-district.

Bruni? Sad thing here, Sinton is becoming more like those further south teams in make-up. IE: Bruni, Port Isabel, Raymondville, Falfurrias, Rio Hondo . Dominate south, get North of 37 they struggle.
Really sad to see a storied program become a valley-like program. Pirates will still go 1 maybe 2 rounds in playoffs due to region matchups. Then baseball, which they will be good in, as well as soccer.

Bruni was actually a savior after the last realignment or else Sinton would have had 2 open weeks. All the other teams had filled up their non-district schedules so Sinton was left hanging until Bruni called. Not a great team but its good homecoming game before district starts. Also Sinton doesn't have a soccer team but they do have a volleyball team that is pretty good this year.

They'll be good in all the sports this year. Football we'll get there despite the 0-4 start. Glad no soccer it would take some players out of football like basketball and baseball do. Lose more to only baseball that use to play football.

Maybe they'll line up now to get shot at Sinton since we're down for past two season.
