Cuero & Sequin played 2 hour game scrimmage.

    Sequin 21
    Cuero 21

Gobblers looked good running and passing. Offensive line had some trouble at times against d-line of the Matadors. Gobblers also had quite a few penalities.

Thanks Val, those are fixable things..... didn’t get back from therapy in time to make scrimmage. But did get rained on between Gonzo and Cuero at 6:45pm....Gobbler games will be broadcast by 98.7 during the season..... lets get the season started.

Isn't it strange that after a bombing everyone blames the Crazy Azz bomber(s), but after a shooting the problem is the gun?

Agree with you. La Vernia QB (6' 5" per Maxpreps) is solid. Strong accurate arm and a speedy #29 that gave us fits. Texans settled down in the live qtrs. I believe 3 qb sacks for the defense. All in all very competitive. For the scrimmage as a whole...lots of penalties on both sides, mainly false starts, off sides, with a few holding calls. #13 lb for La Vernia had an old school (clean) hit on our back that laid him flat. One of those that looked like the runner lost his cleats. Love those kind of plays. He got the 1st down though. lol I know what we have here in Wimberley. Lots to look forward to. Best of luck to La Vernia for the 2019 season.

Devine and Navarro trades blows in the scrimmage and it was pretty competitive. Blount kept it super simple tho running just the basics, and Devine just loaded up the box.

Move to the live Quarter, Navarro opened up the playbook a bit and won 20-0, Navarro with 6 total offensive plays to Devines 21. Devine had four first downs but only one of these were on the starters.

The scrimmage portion had me a bit worry, but the Panthers turned it up big time during the game scenario
