Gave away 7 points on that fumble in the Red Zone also.....a major turning point in this game. It turned out to be a 14 point swing. That was basically an unforced mistake.....not caused by the LV defense.

LV just had too much defense. Stuffed LH at the LOS pretty much all game, which LH is not accustomed to. #15 for LV is the real deal
They managed to break a couple big plays and that was good enough.

It takes a balanced attack from a very good offensive team to cause problems for LV's defense. And then you need a very good defense with speed to contain LV's offensive breakaways. Originally Posted by Saggy Aggie

Congratulations to Waco La Vega looks like you will have chance to add to that trophy case with such a young team. Just to many weapons for LH to contend with but great season Panthers.

I guess I was right, LH played a great game, but the LV Defense was just a hard hitting machine.
LH had no chance without a passing game against that defense.
Great game to watch, if LH ever developed a passing game to go with that hide and seek running game it would be something to see.
Congrats LV you are the champs.

Jordan Whittington is by far what I'll remember most. A WR broke the long standing rushing record for a state game. Won both the offensive and defensive MVP's and single handedly won a state title for his team. Originally Posted by regaleagle
