Argyle's Clearman gives verbal commitment
Hayden Clearman of Argyle is now the 9th player on the current roster of Argyle's 37-0 National Championship Baseball team to give his verbal commitment to a Division 1 school. Kind of unbelievable that Argyle will be returning 8 of 9 starters from last year's team......and all of them have D-1 commitments, plus one more......so far. Clearman said Abilene Christian University started expressing interest shortly before he attended the Wildcat's Elite Prospect Showcase on Oct. 20-21, and the process moved quickly from there. Clearman hit .455 with a team leading 44 RBI's last season as a junior. In the playoffs, he improved that number.....hitting .560 in 10 games. Clearman was named Denton Record Chronicle's All Area Offensive Player of the Year and was a Texas High School Baseball Coaches first team All State selection. As many of you know.....he's also a leader on the Argyle Eagles football team as a safety and punt returner......second on the team in total tackles this season with 75. He played safety and qb the past two seasons for the Eagles.
Yesterdays are gone forever and tomorrows may never happen, but today you have the opportunity to make a difference.
