Default La Grange (2-1) hosts Taylor (2-2)

Taylor coming off a 35-25 win over a good Salado team while the Leps are coming in after a spoiled effort against Navarro due to a lightening cancellation late in the 1st quarter. The Leps looked real solid after a lose to a ranked La Vernia team last week while leading 14-0 when the game was cancelled. If the Leps can defend the pass better in this match up they should be able to win. The Leopards defend the run pretty well but have been burned on the deep passing plays. Taylor has had the Leps number the last two times they played hopefully this year will be the Leopards turn. La Grange by 10.

Anybody want to comment on the Ducks? Giddings beat the Ducks 24-14. Seems like Taylor has some good size up front from the videos on MaxPreps.

The Duck's D played hard all 4 quarters. Offense depended on the long pass, which they made a handful of.
The problem with socialism is, eventually you run out of other peoples' money.

Pud Yoakum played them the previous two yrs and beat them both yrs. But the thing I remember is they had really good speed and also fought to the end. Yoakum dominatated them in the trenches and Yoakum had the speed to match them there. Lagrange seems to have very good line play on both sides and that would might be the advantage they need to win . Another thing I noticed about Taylor they are good hosts when you play there and are a very class team. Hear the have a new stadium with turf. Last year was grass but they did a good job of taking care of field . No problem like we use to play at Smithville.

La Grange played a very disciplined game with only 1 turnover(INT) and only a handful of penalties while the defense held the Ducks scoreless. Meanwhile LG put together three long drives mostly with their power running game to put the game in the win column. The Leps look strong going into district after the bye week. Next up Royal at home 10/12.
