We used to have a number of Cameron oYe Posters here. Wonder if any will come back?

I'm still here. Doubt others are.
I'm really looking forward to this one. Giddings and Cameron have a rich tradition of playing each other and I'm glad this game is back on the schedule.
Looks like it is going to be a wet game. I'm bringing my raincoat....

And it was a great game. Delay at the end was a little crazy and it should have just been kicked, but there was lightning.
Giddings is good and very well could be top 10 material as pretty much every poll has them at.
Cameron will look back at a terrible start and and terrible last few moments. But, it is what it is and this was a good football team between two good teams. We will probably see each playing for quite some time this season.
Was a strange end to say the least. You guys have some weapons for sure. Easily the best team we have faced yet.
Officiating was awful. I am sure you guys would say so too. Lots of things didn't go right in tonight's game. Hopefully both teams grew in their own ways tonight.
GO BUFFS!
Who won the game?
Giddings 22-21
Listened to the game on KMIL. Most everyone was saying the refs did a poor job.
with the score 19-21 Cameron winning, the Buffs got the ball in the red zone with little time left on the clock. On 4th down, they missed a field goal. One of the Yoeman had leaped over the line and got flagged for it. It was a personal foul, half the distance. They moved the ball up and then lightning struck and the refs called a lightning delay of 30 minutes. After the delay, Giddings came back on the field and made the field goal with 2 seconds left on the clock when they started the play. Time ran out.
Cameron must have a really good defense, and they ended up passing the ball with great success, scoring 21 unanswered points. When the score was 21-13, the Buffs got the ball, and scored with one long pass play making the game 21-19. Buffs went for 2 and did not make it.
At the point of calling the delay, the announcers were saying the Buffs coaches were out on the field arguing with the refs to just let them play the last play and get it over with. They wanted an unsportsmanlike conduct called. It seemed that the Cameron coaches had already started moving their team off the field, perhaps hoping that the delay would end up ending the game at 21-19. I can see both sides of this coin....

The Battle of the Bell is now set up to be a GREAT GAME.
