    Default 2018 Giddings Buffs

New coach Wade Griffin says we'll have some meat on the line and we are going to get back to running the ball, but will throw if the opportunity shows itself.

Nice interview with Matt BTW. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYuCpoXlg_8

I'm excited about it. I don't know how long it has been since we've had this big of a line, and maybe enough guys to give the starters on both sides a break too.

    Preseason schedule looks tough.

We got new turf (again), and the visitor's stands are getting some improvements. We had a slew of resumes come in for the head coaching job. Congrats to Wade, and hoping for a great year.

Can't wait to see the revamped Buffalo's this Friday at Bulldog Stadium. Sure we will look like normal under Bo in scrimmages and non-district, vanilla. LOL. Safe travels to my Giddings friends.

I would love to come watch, but I'll be in College Station until 5 or 6 pm.

    We have history playing Bo.

Yeah, I was watching a game one year about 8 years back in LV, your coaches clock management at the end cost you going in for winning TD. Time ran out.

If I heard right on the interview, Wade brought some coaches with him. Not sure how many or who. So I don't honestly know if there's anyone with "Bo" experience here or not.

Since Fitzhenry left, Giddings has seemed to have more talent than coaching.

Lookout for Giddings if this guy can coach.

That delay hand off out of shotgun, so deep - just seems odd in today's fast paced systems most are going to from gun. Giddings massive up front and RB, could be best to plow ahead quickly from under center. Then use play action off that. Prevent D's using their quickness and meeting each other at the QB that deep. QB ain't bad either in passing. Play action from up under center would seem ideal. New guy will get it ironed out I'm sure. Might take a couple years due to this style. Yes, appears the staff is 90% new.

Griffin had a great run at Elgin and turned a Brewer program that was in BAD shape into a playoff team in very competitive DFW 5A....he's got a decent track record

Like I said, I'm sure he'll get it back the way Giddings use to be. Just an odd offense was my point when you have them big old bruising backs.
