Default Will Liberty Hill Achieve Purple Blur?

There is a saying about the Jeff Walker Slot-T that describes what happens when it hits that level where everything speeds up and the ball disappears --- PURPLE BLUR --- . This is the result of how Coach Walker takes an offense that is known as "3 yards and a cloud of dust" and avalanches defenses with whopping yards and points week in and week out. I believe Purple Blur will fully return to Liberty Hill this fall following Coach Walkers second season back and a full ration of his feared and brutal off season program!!!
This news clip that aired last night helps capture how important all of the players are in the Offensive power house Walker puts on the field year in and year out:

Lots of optimism in Barney Land, good luck and enjoy the season.

I've decided to just go to the RR games, enjoy the atmosphere and watching my daughter perform at half time and if the Rockets win, well that'll be a bonus.

It would be nice to get all the Purple Panthers back online from the 2006-08 era.

I sure hope they will make a deep run this year. I've not seen these kids at all this year, so looking forward to first scrimmage against another team to see how they look. Having Coach Terry run the O line will likely have a big impact - as it was evident from last year that smaller quick guys could effectively block bigger slower guys. The key measure will be how our guys block against the big quick guys.

If the o-line does its job, then this offense will produce. We had a big oline in 2014-15 and it helped, but they often times didn't sustain their blocks and that made it difficult against teams like Navasota.
Factory, how does the oline for the upcoming season stack up against 2014 and 06 and 07? I heard they won a lineman challenge deal and that is great, but size wise, how do they measure up?? I think overall this year's team has speed we haven't seen in a while which is another big plus. Looking forward to a great season.

    Hey Panfan,
The best way to describe this years line is faster than the 06/07 group . As big or bigger, Considerably Stronger and Considerably Faster than 2014 line. The 2 spots we are a smidge lighter are:
    1) Strong Tackle:
    2014 Sanders = 275
    2018 Montgomery = 265
But Montgomery puts up weight room numbers like your Son and is considerably faster than Sanders was. JT is like Thor’s Hammer very densely built and has power steering. JT is a Brandon Terry type, players like Brandon and JT don’t come along very often that’s for sure, so we are blessed at Strong Tackle.
    2) Center:
    2014: Hall = 6’3 235
2018 : Lapuszynski 6’2 225 (Was only 198 lbs with a dominant 2017 Season). I’m very partial to this one, my favorite LH varsity lineman of all time lol . He is bigger, stronger, and faster than he was last year as a Junior when he earned a 1st Team All District spot in the toughest district in 4AD1. Hall was real good and big but Josh has him with speed, strength, and aggressiveness.
Lawrence who is in the Strong guard spot is about 15 lbs heavier than McCleaud and Brewer were in 2014. Lakota runs a 4.6 40 and power cleans 300 lbs, benches about 340lbs and is relentlessly aggressive.

We lost some good kids who graduated but we have plugged the holes with kids who toiled through a Walker off season and are very impressive.
I could go on and on about Harrison, Ketchem, Seward, Cheney, Taggart, Gonzalez, Schofield, Ogle, Schmidt, Mason, Weems, Cearly, Brewer...etc

So in a nutshell this O line is poised to handle big and fast kids in any combination.

I spent lots of time with these young men over the years and they are very special to me. The sky is the limit, may God bless them with staying healthy and focused because they have a legitimate shot at the 4A-D1 State Title.

All the pieces are here to have the most Dominant front ever.
