The fact of the matter is there are fewer mid-sized schools statewide and the UIL (per the request of member schools) tries to keep the ratios as close to 2:1 as possible....4A (old 3A) having the fewest number of member schools is nothing new
The top of 4A is 1149....just adding ten schools to 4A increases the top number to 1205....it would take adding about 25 schools to get 4A and 5A equal...that would send the top of 4A to right at 1300.....I dont think the smaller 4A schools want that at all
