According to Twitter, Port Isabel is looking for a Week 7 AND Week 8 game.
Yikes......
*****ninja edit*****
Same goes for Rio Hondo. They're needing Week 7 and Week 8 filled.
Alvarado non-district set:
Van
Decatur
Kennedale
China Spring
still scratching my head with the district we ended up in..Midlothian Heritage in region 3?..we will drive through Midlothian to every district away game for 2 years! Que sera sera..it’ll be atleast 2 years before I have another son(#3) playing varsity football for the Indians, probably 3 years..just being optimistic, he will be bigger than his brothers ha!

Disappointing non-District schedule for the Rockets with the exception of Gatesville. Other three teams are Taylor, Troy and Whitney....wow, no offense meant, but I was hoping the level of competition would be higher. I’m scratching my head over having our bye week the FIRST week of District play. I know it’s WAY early, but unless something is done to address the issue of a non-existent defense, I don’t see the Rockets making the playoffs and very likely having another losing season.....
Rockets Never Quit!
Not the only four team district in the state.
I probably go against the norm, but see no reason for divisions within classifications, especially since it's only done in one sport.
Travel is nuts for some teams and as mentioned the placement of teams from same isd's in different regions. What's that all about?
Travel- San Angelo Central will make what will probably be 4 hour district road trips (in a bus) to the Mid-Cities, in all sports not only is the distance great, throw in traffic once they get to the metroplex....I'm salty about this one a little. Central was part of the original "Little SWC" and I see no reason to shift them east...other than rumors i've heard about a panhandle school complaining.
also how about Brenham to Marble Falls for a district game Wow.
The UIL has a tough job and I'm sure these weren't the first scenarios they came up with but what were the closest to the best. I might belly ache about somethings they do, but I wouldn't trade our UIL for any other states HS sports/academic governing body.
Taylor has been pretty solid the last few seasons.
also how about Brenham to Marble Falls for a district game Wow. Only 140 miles so what about Cuero to Llano at 170 miles and 140 miles Cuero to Bandera. Maybe Devon or Pioneer will send them on planes? LOL
Has Celina got their games scheduled for 2018 and who will they play in non-district.
