Majority of the State Championship qualifying teams are not from far south Texas. So why does it even matter? Until South Texas can produce State Championship teams, maybe they will consider a different venue.

I couldn't care less about the schools choosing a neutral site. I'm looking at the fact that teams north of Waco are in R4. That's whats ridiculous. Whats the rotation for the SC games going to look like? LOL

I remember listening to the state championship game the 98 I think...... against La Marque. From a Pickett Tower outside of a prison in Wichita Falls definitely was not allowed to have a radio up there but I snuck one anyway.... could barely pick it up on an AM radio station...was so glad the Stephenville won that game. Wanted to grab my AR-15 and shoot it off in the air...... but that might have been a tad on the stupid side..lol

That's Jerry's standard deal. Any game scheduled there this weekend will get that deal. Any game scheduled last weekend got that deal. He charges cost.

And I'm flummoxed about your "short notice" hangup. Eight months is not "short notice."

Jerry charged the UIL $150K in 2010, the very first year he hosted it "on short notice." You can look it up on the UIL website.

And it wasn't a multi year deal obviously, since he booked a game in 2015.
