    Thumbs up Sweetwater vs. Snyder

These 2 teams missed playing last year due to thunderstorms. Snyder has struggled the last couple years, but when these 2 rivals take the short 30 mile trip to meetup, you can toss that away. The rival may be a little calmer now...but never fear these 2 schools/towns don't like each other very much.

Snyder is very big and physical up front and will want to run the ball..especially this week to try and keep Chris Thompson and company off the field.

I work in Snyder and a couple of guys at our plant are Tigers born and bred. These kind of weeks make high school football even more fun!

Chris Thompson's stats for the year:

    3games 50/63 for 1004 yds .794% 334.7yds/game 16/td 1/int 153.3 QB Rating

Close at half but Mustangs win by 21.

Sheesh. Thompson is just killing it.

Them boys from Snyder might be big up front, but I suspect that won't matter much in the end. Too much speed for the Mustangs and just too much Chris Thompson for the Tigers to keep this one close. Rivals or not, I think Sweetwater runs away with this game, and maybe before halftime.

I wonder what the over/under would be on a Sweetwater/Graham matchup? That'd be fun.

Saw a funny post on friends Facebook page. Her son is a player on the team and younger kids "Adopt a Mustang" for the year. They get to walk the field with them at game and interact throughout the year.

This 9 year old brought the player a little something today...Ya think the rivalry with Snyder starts early?? Too funny to share!

"Our mini Mustang just dropped a gift off for Zach. Before he left, he said, "If you don't beat Snyder tomorrow, don't bother coming back to Sweetwater."

Sweetwater is a 20 point favorite. Expecting it to be more given Snyder's offensive output in the first three weeks.

I'll go with that because as we all know you're not one to overstate things.

    45-7

Minus a couple fumbles inside the 5 on 1st two drives and some missed extra points...this was closer to the score than a stretch. Snyder scored with 9 seconds left to spoil the shutout.

Chris Thompson had another banner night..23/29 375 yards. I think 4 td's and no int's.

Four TDs through the air and one on the ground for CT.

But the most important stat seemed to be zero major injuries.
