Argyle takes a time out with 4:49 left in the half......there was 12 men on defense so Coach Rodgers called a timeout.

Lovejoy in punt formation at their own 49. Punt goes off the side of the foot.....it goes only about 7 yds. Argyle has it on their own 41 yd line.

Copeland on the option play fakes it to Williams out of the shotgun and keeps it for 10 yds.

Handoff to Rainey as Gage Campbell hits him for 3 yd loss. 2nd and 13 for Lovejoy. Now Chase Petter makes the stop on another loss.....3rd and 16 for Lovejoy.

Garcia again on the left side as Roberts stops him right at the line of scrimmage. Lovejoy will punt it from deep in its own end. It rolls out of bounds at the 32 yd line......Chase Petter got a hand on the ball. Argyle gets great field position with 1:22 left.

I lost the feed, but Argyle scores on a 24 yd TD run by Copeland with 42 secs. left in the half.

    Argyle 42
    Lovejoy 14

4 plays for 32 yds. in 50 secs.

    Halftime

Argyle scored 6 TD's in 7 possessions in the first half. Lovejoy has no answer defensively to stop this Eagle attack.

A couple of bad punts by Lovejoy did not help their cause......Argyle capitalized with a short field on both possessions and scored. Argyle scored 3 TD's in each quarter in the first half.

Not sure what adjustments the Lovejoy coaching staff will make at halftime to stop this Argyle offensive juggernaut......but they need to do something different. I'm certain Coach Rodgers and his staff will have plenty of adjustments for the Argyle defense. Lovejoy has a very potent offense......they are very capable offensively. Looks like Argyle kind of shut them down in the 2nd qtr. though.

Lovejoy scored in one play on their very first possession, but only had 18 yds. rushing in the first half. Argyle's offense is well-balanced with about 378 total yds. in the first half. The kickoff for the 2nd half is a touchback. Lovejoy will take it now at their own 25 yd line.

First down on a gain of 11 yds on that running play for Lovejoy. He carried a couple of Eagles on his back on that run.....he's so big and strong.

Now Rainey breaks one tackle but not another......6-1, 225 lbs for Rainey. Now a pass of 16 for Lovejoy and another first down. Collins had all day to throw it that time.
