Default First Week Games Next Friday-Will they be played in coastal area?

There is 100% chance of rain Saturday-Wednesday in south Texas Counties
If not may of the South Coastal teams are not able to practice on only Thursday, will they play on Friday?

Ain't gonna happen. For those stadiums with artificial turf.......they may not have any turf when it's all over!! Probably ruined or saturated fields anyway. Week one in the Gulf Coast region will be like our lost game due to lightning last year........no make up game necessary.
Yesterdays are gone forever and tomorrows may never happen, but today you have the opportunity to make a difference.

Having dealt with both Rita and Ike expect a TON of 7 or 8 game seasons down there. This one is stronger and will dump a lot more rain than the above two did. WOS only played 8 regular season games the year Ike hit in 2008 and the eye of the storm was 100 miles away on top of me in Houston. The UIL changed the rules one of those years to allow games to be played every 4-5 days instead of once a week to allow district games to all be played and some districts still had to divide into a zone format with a zone playoff.
424-100-3 (80.74% win percentage) Highest winning percentage in the state

9 straight Region III Finals '11-'19
56 consecutive district game wins '09-'20 (88-1 in district since 2003)
    37 consecutive non-losing seasons '84-'20

    4 Championships - 1986, 1987, 2015, 2016
    8 State Finals - 1986, 1987, 1988, 2000, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017
    9 Semifinals - 1986, 1987, 1988, 2000, 2005, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017
    14 Quarterfinals - 1986, 1987, 1988, 2000, 2005, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019

I thinks schools with only Wednesday and Thursday practices might make Friday's just a scrimmage as will be the case down here around South Texas in Wharton County. El Campo -Gregorpy Portland game will most likely be played in EC because of damage in Portland if played at all. Some schools are already canceling classes for Tuesday as well as Monday. And weather predictions with rains are most likely with no sun for a long long time

I think Sinton will be playing this week... Plus they play in the Valley and their facilities suffered little discernible damage from what a friend said. I do think Sinton vs Rockport for Week 2 will be dropped though
