1a and 1b over the last couple of years. Those are the only 2 schools that come to mind when talking about the overall best. Amazing how they are both at the top of the Lone Star cup every year. Much respect to both.

Now just an FYI, neither can hold a candle to lil' ol' Carthage, Texas under them Friday night lights! Have a strange feeling Carthage will be seeing 1 or the other come December at Jerry's.

Carthage is the measuring stick in football, no doubt. Very impressive program and a great coach. Wylie is pretty decent in football and has been the top Region 1 team for most of the last 15 or so years. Add in baseball, basketball, track, tennis... we do pretty well. Now if we could just siphon off a few of those Abilene High and Cooper running backs and receivers...
