Ballgame is at the Star is Frisco. China Spring is the home team.

Man this is going to be a battle. Carthage coming in healthy unlike last year against LV when we had 9 starters out. I wanted to see the Dawgs get another shot at LV after we got embarrassed last year, but this is going to be a great game. Cannot believe these 2 teams have missed each other thru the years. I haven't been able to say for certain in any playoff game besides North Forest that Carthage was going to win. We have won 3 out of 4 playoff games this year have been 4th quarter come from behind victories and in those 3 games the Dawgs have won by a combined 7 points. This Carthage team is unlike any other team we have had in the Surratt era. We have won in the past with dominant line play, Great QB's, and flat out better skill players. This is not those teams. We do have the skill players to matchup with anybody, but this is not the most talented team. They make mistakes, sometimes lack in execution, and struggle to stop the run. I am just being honest. But these kids have heart, a never die attitude, and they know how to win. If Carthage is within 7 points in the 4th quarter, I would bet the house on these boys. Just something about this team. This looks like 2 teams peaking at the right time. Should be a great game

Carthage by a TD. Really could go either way. Would be cool to actually see a Wylie vs China Spring State Championship.

Man, I'm not gonna be able to call this one. I am just way too gun shy at this point. After taking the worst beating we have ever taken in the Surratt era last year when we played LV it makes me very heseitent. We ran out of steam, and injuries hurt us, but that night in Mesquite LV could have beat Carthage by 60, maybe more. And I don't know how much different it would have been if we were 100% healthy. I'm going to take a much more subtle approach messing with these Waco area teams. They play some good ball in that part of the state.
