I don't like the mixed Division thing. If they want to combine their rankings, match them up in the playoffs. Take two from Division 1 district and two from the coinciding Division 2 District and let them have at it.

Baseball and basketball have 32 districts and top 4 go to the playoffs so the same amount that goes now with still be there so revenue shouldn't be an issue.

You would have to add another round of the playoffs, but yea that would work.

Keep thinking that. This Wylie team is big, fast, deep, talented and is getting better every week. Will be a very tough out come playoff time.

If Tepper thinks the AP is crazy for lumping all 4A's, 3A's, and 2A's together in one poll even though they can't meet in playoffs, than he must think he, himself, is crazy for doing the same thing with 5A and 6A. If the UIL is going to group a bunch of teams together as 4A teams, the pollsters ought to tell us who they think the best 4A team is just like 5A and 6A. Otherwise, a team like WOS, which is probably the best 4A team in the state, never gets that recognition. I've beat this one to death enough.

Ok, if you insist. I'll keep this going. If Aledo and CP go into playoffs ranked 1, 2 and both end up D2 and one wins it all, they have legitimate bragging rights as the best 5A school in the state. If you rank 4A by separate divisions, no way of anyone claiming best 4A in Texas bragging rights. It's all just stupid polls. Why water down the fun right out of 'em?
