The difference in 4a D1 and 4a D2 is no different that the difference between 5a and 2a.

There is no rational reason to group them together under the class 4a umbrella or the polls.

Ok, if you insist. I'll keep this going. If Aledo and CP go into playoffs ranked 1, 2 and both end up D2 and one wins it all, they have legitimate bragging rights as the best 5A school in the state. If you rank 4A by separate divisions, no way of anyone claiming best 4A in Texas bragging rights. It's all just stupid polls. Why water down the fun right out of 'em?

I understand where you're coming from..and I agree, maybe they should just give every classification its own #, take the division part out?
