    Default UofH beats Pitt

Nice 4Q comeback and the decision to go for the (2-pt conversion) win vs. kicking the extra point kick and head into OT. Coug's score 29 unanswered in 4th, recover back-to-back OSK, in this exciting 35-34 finish.

The last 3 mins. of the game is all you really needed to see.....2 onside kicks recovered and converted to TD's. A two-point extra point to go ahead with about 1:30 left on the clock, and then it got dicey on defense because the Pitt kicker had already hit a 52-yarder. So keeping the Pitt offense around midfield for about 4 plays in a row at the end kept you on pins and needles. The Pitt qb did find his best receiver open across the middle at about the 20, but it hit his hands on the run and he just flubbed it. He catches that one and Pitt kicks the field goal to win it with less than 30 secs. left. Today was the miracle win of the season for the Cougars on national TV, and their converted wide-receiver to quarterback freshman Ward threw for over 200 yds. in the 4th quarter. Pitt had no answer for him. He looked very impressive for a freshman qb. Did they say he was from Desoto?
Yesterdays are gone forever and tomorrows may never happen, but today you have the opportunity to make a difference.
