Georgia Tech saying "hello" to Miss. State

I reckon that tough SEC is not doing so good in these here bowlarama games, huh? Looks to me like Miss. State is getting their butts handed to em by the Jellowjackets from Georgia Technical. Happy New Years Eve so far.

Let's see now.....that's 42 pts. by a running team and it's still 4 min. and some change left in the 3rd. 42-20 now and that's after State got that lucky carom off the Hail Mary for a TD to end the half.....otherwise they'd be sittin' at 13 points.

GT is pretty damn good, FSU is going to be tough to beat also. ACC making statement this year, you got Bama in the sec and the rest are just average teams.

But there's still a whole quarter left.....if you believe in miracles. That Hail Mary looked like a miracle at the time, so how many miracles are left to be used up in one game?

FSU got more lucky wins this season than 10 old ladies combined at the casino, haha. They've been living off lucky breaks and other teams' mistakes too long. They should have lost no less than 2 games this year, but it's been one of those amazing(grace) seasons for them.

Touchdown by State now. 42-27 is a might closer with a full quarter left. If I was GT I'd try to burn some clock with a long sustained drive.....or take a another quick score if it happened. One or the other would pretty much put a fork in this one.

I'd add that GT may need some sort of score on the board before this game is over.

Then again, they may not need anything but that clock to keep running, haha.

Not sure the onside kick attempt by State was a wise thing to do with so much time left.....literally a whole quarter. The odds are against you recovering it, and then you give GT a very short field to march down for another score that could break your team's momentum. YEP.....that call was what I'd call uncalled for, lol.

And there's the final nail in the State coffin tonite.....another rushing TD by GT. Thanks for the field position, Coach. How about 49-27 with about 10+ mins. left.....can State even muster a comeback? I'd say they're feeling them nails being driven now.

Prescott's got some quick work to do to get another quick score for State.....they do have over ELEVEN mins. left.

And GT holds within the 10 yd line after State marches it down the field quickly, but fails on 4th down. Still 9:45 left though. GT needs only to make a first down here and then punt and play D.

GT qb scampers out to the 35 on 3rd and 8 for another little nail in that coffin. They're nailing it up, folks.....one nail at a time.

Well they ran it down below 5 mins. and now will punt after that 15 yd chopblock penalty. Not much time left for State to make up the diff.

Looks like Georgia Tech and Coach Paul Johnson may be ringing in the New Year with a big win tonite for the Yellowjackets faithful. I can honestly say their boys outplayed the State players on both sides of the ball. A little over 3 min. left now and about 65 yds. for a touchdown.
