Region 1 comes down to two districts 3 and 4... Graham plays Aubrey.... Iowa Park plays Celina... clearly the two best districts in the region.

Should be a pair of good games. Aubrey squeaked by Greenwood with a miracle, and Celina handled Sweetwater, although the game was much closer for the most part than the score indicated.

Aubrey is tough. This is by far the best Chaps team I've seen in my lifetime. They've got a lot of speed, and some pretty good size on both sides of the ball. They will grind you to death on offense and then pop a big play. QB can sling it decently, and he's a big boy. Hard to bring down even when you get pressure on him, and he can move pretty well. Defense flies to the football and tackles in space pretty well. But they do have guys going both ways in lots of spots, so you can wear them down late in the game.

Aubrey's issue is they dont defend the pass very well....unless they've made big strides I dont see them slowing down an efficient spread offense like Graham's

No they still have issues with it. Caddo Mills — their lone loss — threw it all over them. Godley had a ton of success against the Chaps with the pass, too. But still, this Aubrey team has just enough talent to make you tap the brakes just a bit. They have the type of offense that can grind out drives and limit Graham's possessions.

I still think Graham is a 2-TD favorite.

I really hope Aubrey brings their A game. Graham needs a bit of a test right now. I think Graham wins either way...
