I don't think Arky's D is up to the task. If A&M has a few turnovers, Arky could win, but I think the Aggies shed their slow starts and hit the scoreboard fast and often. Arky will try to slow the game down probably. I think we have the depth on D, but not the experience to stop their ground game and cause turnovers. If Arky can pass the ball, that will add a new dimension. Otherwise, A&M will crowd the box. Aggies will need their linebackers to step up and stop the run.

We're gonna really see how well "improved" that A&M running defense is. I mean it's literally impossible I think to be worse than Tech's so I'll take A&M, but I wouldn't take them to cover more than 14 points.

Sell out for the run and make you beat them through the air. If A&M can get up by 2 touchdowns and force Arkansas to throw, we can use our speed on the end to run around the huge, albeit slow, offensive line and pressure the QB.

A&M will have Robinson, Henderson, Washington, Mastrogiovanni, and Harris all back for this game which will be good for leadership and depth reason, especially since the first four guys are part of the front 7. Cam Clear, Mike Matthews, and Speedy Noil will all return on the offensive side of the ball to reflect the team that beat South Carolina a month ago.

I wish A J Hilliard was ready to play. Hope he gets well soon.

That was the initial thought from Taylor Hamm who is A&M's version of Chip Brown - whatever he says is the opposite.

Sumlin said last week that Speedy will probably be ready to go for Saturday.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict 45 -33 Aggies.

I'll take my Ags in a tough one, 38-35.

    Vegas has A&M by 8.5

The Arkansas ground and pound game will eat the clock, and may give the Aggie offense much fewer opportunities to score. If Aggie offense turns just one of their possessions over, it could make a big difference in the outcome of this game. I think it will be that close. A&M will need to get the lead and stay even or ahead because I don't see them being able to handle that strong running attack we saw from Arkansas. Of course, that was against a Tech defense which is suspect anyway. But they will still attempt many rushes and take clock away from the Ags. keeping the Aggie D on the field longer than they would like.
Yesterdays are gone forever and tomorrows may never happen, but today you have the opportunity to make a difference.

The last time the Ags beat the pigs, even with Manziel, they put on a ground and pound running game the 2nd half. This was to preserve the D, IMO, so that they beat Arky at their own game. A&M could do the same this week. I'm sure they'll have a balanced attack, but I'm sure it will depend on how the D holds up to Arky. A&M can ground and pound with the best of them. Good to have so many offensive weapons. I'm very optimistic about this year. I know the meat and potatoes of SEC west is just ahead. I don't expect them to win out, but I know that they have a good chance to win out. The ball will have to bounce their way a few games in order to accomplish this. But I believe they have what it takes, just still very young on D. 19 year olds facing off against 21-22 year olds in many cases. Those few years are prime years for development. Blue chipper youth vs. experience. The next few years look very promising for A&M.
I like to think of the Ags being a stage to showcase Texas talent against the other states. The SEC west is the consensus top conference. By far IMO. By far. There is still no reason for our athletes to leave the state to play ball.

A key matchup will be Miles Garrett against the 6' 10" left tackle for Arky. Speed vs Goliath. I'm very interested to see if we can get in Arky's backfield against those huge hogs. Someone on the radio said they are bigger than any NFL offensive line. IMO, bigger means slower. Guess Saturday at 2:30 we'll see.
