Default Arizona @ UTSA Thurs. nite on FoxS1

It's been a good game so far, and UTSA is giving a good Arizona team all they can handle. A great game to watch and very good defense by UTSA against what is supposed to be a very prolific PAC 12 offense. Not so fast there....UTSA will win lots of games this season. Maybe this one tonite.

26-23 now with 2 min. left in the game. UTSA needs to make a stop here with 4th and inches. Looks like Az. will punt it away. UTSA has 85 yds. to go for a win, or a field goal to tie it with 2 mins. left.

UTSA Sr. qb Carter makes major blunder and shovel passes it on the scramble in the air for an interception. He tried to shovel it over the head of the defender, but it was a dying quail in the air and was intercepted easily. That's the ballgame. UTSA played a great game, but a major blunder at crunch time on the final drive will end in a defeat for the Roadrunners. UTSA gets 20 secs from their own 30 to try a miracle to set up a field goal. Incomplete. One more play here. Nope. Short pass to a receiver who tries to lateral it, puts it on the ground, Az. player picks it up and runs it in. Penalty called as illegal forward pass by the receiver. Time has expired. Arizona wins 26-23.

I was really hoping they would pull that one out. Bad shovel pass doomed them.

Even being an Arizona fan this was a good game to watch. UTSA has a fine team and will win some games this year. Hell really should have beat us.

Former Wimberley QB Brady Lambert has transferred here (UTSA) from McMurry. Wish him the best.
