Is Smithville going to rebound this year? I have Rockdale by 21-28.

doubt it. new coach, new offense, no new players being the key.

Smithville is not ready for a quality opponent in Rockdale just yet. Rockdale should win this one going away 14+pts . Smithville got its lunch handed to them last week against Sealy in the scrimmage, so this group has some growing to do.
Big Picture, the first 6 games mean absolutely nothing for Smithville, even the LG game in week 7 is Meaningless for this teams goal. All Smithville can do is gain experience, and improve week to week for the last 3 games.
Week 9 Caldwell, week 10 @ Giddings, week 11 Salado. If Smithville can go 2-1 or even 1-2 in the last 3, the Tigers may sneak into the playoffs. That is where this team is a whole under a new Coach.

I didn't think Cuero would ever play on that field again. Ya'll do any upgrades over there JH?

I counted 4 scrums, and Smithville was certainly the instigator in the brawls. Sealy's coaching staff did a fantastic job keeping the team on the sidelines, and from running on the field.
It wasn't more than training camp shoving matches. Smithville does have to clean that up, but I have to like the edge, & intensity.

I see that they have planted new grass, its thicker but looks like the're under watering it. Some spots are already turning yellow, so hopefully this weeks rain can help it out.
A new Stadium is More than needed! The place is a dump. To be honest with you, I'm surprised that the stands are still standing .

Yes, but their booster club has the best concession food in almost any district.
You got to try the nachos if the cheese is homemade.
The problem with socialism is, eventually you run out of other peoples' money.

I'm surprised the UIL and the Health Department hasn't shut it down due to safety violations. Track alone (South endzone) takes a few players out each year I bet. Maybe the new grass will cover the gravel up? Are the goal post crossbars still a couple feet different? I know some teams, pick a goal post, instead of the wind or deferring on the coin toss.
