Where is the bloomin idiot this year? I guess he only comes out when they are World Beaters.

I'm not sure where a lot of them are. I joined this site when Brownwood moved to 3A. I've enjoyed it and have always said from day one that I'm a nobody with no inside information. I've seen some Bwd. experts come and go this past 6 years, but you see that at every school.
I'm just blessed to have come up through the Gordon Wood era and lived it first hand. During the hall of fame induction here a few months back Coach West, and Blackburn (Wood Assit.) were talking and Coach West said: "We were lucky enough to be there during the Glory days"!
That made me think of some of the powerhouse schools now...after I'm long gone as Worm dirt they will be on here posting about the old days while Venus and Progresso will be saying they are living in the past.
Let the season begin...

I missed Coach Wood by 2 years! He still came to watch our practices sometimes. Would just drive his old sedan right up to the practice field, get out to talk to the coaches, watch practices for half a hour then get back in his old sedan and drive away.
