Permian had its difficulties hitting Lubbock Coronado pitching Tuesday afternoon, but Lubbock Coronado pitching had no problem hitting the Panthers.

In one of the most unusual outcomes in baseball, two Mustangs pitchers combined to throw a no-hitter in a District 2-5A contest at McCanlies Field, yet came up on the wrong end of a 2-1 final.

    It's already happened.

I don't remember the year, but an Astros pitcher threw a complete game no-hitter and the Astros lost 1-0. I'll Google it and provide some information.

Also, the Baltimore Orioles had 2 pitchers combine for a no-hitter in a 2-1 loss to the Detroit Tigers in 1967.
