    Default Longhorn QB David Ash injured and will have surgery

    Longhorn quarterback David Ash sustained a Jones fracture in his left foot during spring practice, will undergo surgery next week and is out for the remainder of the spring season, Texas Head Athletic Trainer for Football Anthony Pass said on Friday. Ash is expected to return to action in time for UT's preseason camp

    The #Big12 has granted a medical redshirt for David Ash for the 2013 season. He will enter '14 as a junior.

    Determining if you can get a medical redshirt is a conference decision and not an NCAA decision? Thats interesting. I did not know that.
