Question is "How many of these did they actually recruit?" Coaches recruit by regions/areas, not by positions. Also Strong was at some very high profile schools ( Florida for 11 years) that attract very high caliber prospects.

Sumlin coached at Oklahoma for 5 years and Texas A&M, now SEC power house, for 2 years. The fact that Strong was at these high profile schools says a lot more about his career path.

True true. I think Texas will try and pull in more OOS recruits for the 2015 till the relationships are built within the state and the 2016 class will be 95% Texas kids.


I also like his philosophy on recruiting.

Recruit 10 best players regardless of positions based on their evaluation, then recruit 10 players that are best at position needs based on evaluation, and save 5 spots for late bloomers.
