So my co-worker is a Ohio State grad. OSU appears to be in the driver seat for the BCS championship. Do any of you really feel they would hold up under SEC? This is why the playoff system is a must. Next year is a start but needs to be expanded.
I think I'm confused on the final score or maybe just getting rules mixed up. I thought that they would only get 3 for running it back, instead of 6. Or is that just botched/missed XP's?
A missed FG attempt is nothing more than a scrimmage kick just like a punt. Take it back and it is 6 points. If you run back a missed extra point attempt that is a 2 point TD. Coincidentally a NCAA Div - III playoff game yesterday featured a blocked extra point kick attempt where the officiating crew inexplicably only awarded 1 point. Someone on the sideline had a rulebook and at some point after 3 or so more minutes of play they corrected it to correct 2 points.

It was an amazing return under those circumstances. The 1 second being put back on the clock that allowed Bama to try for the field? I bet Bama wishes they would have went to OT now. LOL

I did
I thought they showed it twice with no movement? Maybe I missed it. It makes no difference to me either way though.
This was a great game, but what I laughed at was that CBS's Gary Danielson seemed pretty upset with Alabama about the Touchdown return on the missed Field Goal as he blurted out "Alabama had not athletes on the field just bunch Fat Guys" did anybody else catch that?
