Lorena has Robinson tomorrow, West on Friday, then China Spring the following Tuesday. Wheh! Do I hear an Amen!

Ranking are good but time for the teams on this list to prove it on the field each game from this point on as the teams not on this list will aim to show they belong on this list also.

I find it interesting that this list is composed of largely middle of the road or smaller 3A schools. I don't really see that many(Carthage) of the larger 3A's on this list. I reckon baseball is alive and well in Texas at the 3A high school level, huh....regardless of the enrollment numbers of your competition.

Polls are nice to look , big difference on some teams between this poll and the Texas High School Coaches poll. Guess we will see down the road , who really is most knowledgeable of teams.

Just because smaller schools might be on the list doesnt mean baseball is alive and well. I have personally seen a huge drop off most notciably in the smaller towns. Nobody knows the game or plays the game anymore. The only time kids pick up a ball is at the end of January only to put it down the end of April......Just because teams are ranked in the top 25 doesnt mean they are good teams.

I have noticed that with so much year round select ball being played, a lot of kids just get tired of baseball.

Baseball is not very big in Wimberley but there is a bond election coming up that is proposed to include new baseball facilities so that could change in a hurry.
