Seems like riding a bike first would make more sense.

I am sometimes mistaken, but I am never wrong.

I agree, kind of the natural order of things. Crawl before you walk, walk before you run, etc...

thanks yall. Just wanted to make sure I wasnt going crazy. Apparantly we are all on the same line of thinking. I had someone the other day ask me if I knew where they could get some training wheels for their sons dirtbike. I was like..huh? I asked them if they could ride a bike without training wheels and they told me that their son COULD NOT ride a bike without training wheels.

Maybe it's the Dodgeball technique. If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball. If you can ride a dirt bike, you can ride a regular bike.
When I hear someone say "Im not book smart, Im street smart"; what I really hear is "Im not real smart, Im pretend smart".

riding a dirt bike and riding a bike are two different things. If you want them to be better at dirt bike start em off on that and make dirt bikes all they ever knows.
